“Birdman” y “The Grand Budapest Hotel” se llevaron la mayor cantidad de nominaciones este año, con nueve cada una, incluyendo nominaciones por Mejor Película y Mejor Director. “American Sniper”, la película de Clint Eastwood sobre el francotirador Chris Kyle, empató a “The Imitation Game” con ocho nominaciones, y Bradley Cooper a su vez sorprende con su nominación a Mejor Actor, superando a favoritos como David Oyelowo (“Selma”) y de Jake Gyllenhaal (“Nightcrawler”). En tanto, “Boyhood” de Richard Linklater, la película que tomó 12 años para hacer, fue honrada con seis nominaciones, incluyendo Mejor Película.
