Lucy Hale y Darren Criss fueron los encargados de animar el evento.

Los Teen Choice Awards 2013, transmitidos en vivo para Latinoamérica desde el Anfiteatro Gibson (Los Ángeles), entregaron la icónica tabla de surf a los favoritos de los adolescente en las categorías de televisión, cine, música, deportes, moda y otros, en una ceremonia conducida por los actores Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) y Darren Criss (Glee).

El evento contó con actuaciones en vivo de One Direction, Florida Georgia Line, Demi Lovato y Paramore, pero fue Lea Michele (Glee) quien se robó el show, al dedicar su Teen Choice a Mejor Actriz de Comedia en un Show de TV a su novio y coprotagonista Cory Monteith, quien falleció el pasado mes de julio debido a una sobredosis.

“Sólo quería estar aquí hoy para agradecerles personalmente a todos ustedes y decirles lo mucho que su amor y apoyo han significado para mí en estas últimas y difíciles semanas. No es que tuviera alguna duda antes, pero ustedes son ciertamente los mejores fans del mundo y quiero dedicar este premio a Cory. Para todos ustedes que amaban y admiraban a Cory tanto como yo lo hice, les prometo que con su amor vamos a salir de esto juntos. Él fue muy especial para mí y también para el mundo. Tuvimos mucha suerte ser testigos de su increíble talento, su hermosa sonrisa, y su hermoso, hermoso corazón. Así que, si lo conocieron personalmente o simplemente como Finn Hudson, Cory se acercó y se convirtió en una parte de todos nuestros corazones y ahí es donde se quedará para siempre”, señaló la actriz en un emotivo discurso.
